About Me
As a child, on the long drive to visit my Grandparents, I would repeatedly ask my Dad to tell us "His Stories". They not only made me see him in a different light - as an adventurous little boy - but opened a window on a world so different from my own. I definitely couldn't imagine being chased by a shotgun-wielding farmer into a derelict house, while I clutching the apples I'd just scrumped! As a film maker I was able to capture these memories to be treasured for future generations.
I established Life Camera Reaction to ensure that other people's memories can live on for their families to enjoy. I alway knew I would enjoy every moment of creating the most unique films but what I didn't expect is how emotional it can be (for them and me!), and also how much more someone may reveal to me, than to their own families.
During my work as a BBC Producer/Director, I found myself interviewing and filming in locations as varied as on a boat on the Amazon, in the back of a limousine in L.A. and backstage at Paris Fashion Week. My numerous television credits include What Not To Wear and Top Gear, (where I was the first female director). This professional experience ensures that I can put my interview subjects at ease, whilst drawing out their memories and anecdotes. I then skillfully edit the interviews with relevant photos and videos and appropriate music, to create a captivating film to be treasured by future generations.
There is often tears, and usually laughter, but whoever's story you are looking to tell,
it will be treated with the utmost respect.
The memories you've made are worth treasuring.

Where is the filming carried out?
We are happy to shoot interviews at your home, a location of your choice, or you can come to our base in Islington - a listed Victorian Dairy - where we will create a backdrop to reflect your style. We are happy to research and arrange locations for you if you prefer.
Do you need a lot of room for filming?
Our kit is fairly compact by film crew standards. We will have tripods and light stands to erect but ensure that we can safely move around without trip hazards. We will require access to power sockets for L.E.D. lights.and other peripherals. The crew will be usually be one or two people to ensure the interview is relaxed.
How many people can be interviewed for a film?
As many as you like! There is additional charges for each person interviewed as this includes the additional time it will take to import the footage, go through it interview and select relevant comments which are then are crafted along with other interviews to tell the full story.
Is it possible to interview someone with dementia?
Absolutely, I am very aware of the difficulties being interviewed can present - no least from my own father repeatedly taking off his microphone during his interview!. I know everyone is different, but I would do my best to handle any difficult issues with sensitivity and patience.
Is it possible to record Life Story interviews for two people in one day?
Generally I would expect two people could be filmed for their individual Life Stories Films in one day. This would also provide a reduction in the total price.
Can you use old home movies like Super 8mm and VHS in the film?
Yes! We can transfer popular formats at our base for an additional charge. We can then select clips to insert in the documentary and you will receive a memory stick with the complete films on in addition to your documentary.
Can you make films for other types of celebrations?
I can make films for ANY occasion or event. If there is a party involved, I can cover that, capturing the atmosphere and joy of the event, and use the accompanying interview/s to give it another dimension. Bar Mitzvahs, Sweet Sixteens, 18th, 21sts, Weddings, you name it!
Can you make a retrospective tribute film to remember someone who has passed?
Yes, we can interview the people who knew them best to ensure the stories and the impact they left on the world is not forgotten. This would be illustrated with photos and videos to make a film which ensures the person not forgotten.
How much are the travel costs?
I travel by car to bring all of my filming kit so charge the standard mileage rate plus any additional charges including congestion, tolls or similar, and parking fees. If it is not feasible to travel and film on the same day, I will need to book suitable overnight accommodation, which will be charged along with meals and travel time.
Can you travel abroad for filming?
Yes, this is possible. Additional costs and travel time will be charged

Yes, I can supply professional hair and make-up artists.
